Historic center
Village of Castellone
within the district, the Roman theater that legend has it that, on June 2, 303 A.D., during the fierce Christian persecutions, the martyrdom, of the bishop of Antioch and later the saint Erasmus of Formia, was perpetrated here. The Roman Cisternone is also located here.
The tomb of Cicero
Finally, the village of Maranola is characterized by different churches such as the church of the Annunziata, the church of Santa Maria ad Martyres, which houses splendid Baroque altars and a terracotta nativity scene from the 1700s, and the church of St. Luke the Evangelist with a medieval crypt that preserves a wall painting dedicated to the cult of Our Lady of Milk.
